Buenos Aires Portraits 2

These are some of my friends from BA. Enjoy!

BA Portraits

Still the thing I love shooting the most – portraits. Clean, crisp moments. These are some of the people that passed through my life in Buenos Aires. In order – Artist Anibal Garfunkel, Skate shop owner on Bond Street, Security Guard Oscar, Artist Jimmy Danko and Artist Patricia Miani.

Bariloche, Patagonia

So after 6 months of living and working in Buenos Aires, I had saved up enough money for a holiday. Just in time for my good friend Nick Chapman to come over from England on holiday as well! (He’s the one on the bike) We spent a fantastic week in Bariloche, northern Patagonia. Gorgeous weather, scenery and so nice to be out of the city. Although these photos might not show it, it’s the most beautiful place I have ever been.

Street Art

Buenos Aires has a huge street art scene. This is a selection of images that I shot for Juanele, featuring Corona and Mart. I loved working with these guys, muy buena onda!

Arte de Buenos Aires

Working for Juanele and WUBA I was always shooting art. Not all of it to my taste, but I did see some beautiful work.

Patio Finochietto

So back in the UK and starting to go through the mountain of images I haven’t had a chance to publish. These were taken on a gorgeous autumn afternoon of street art, music and performance with Concrete=Canvas, in the disused Finochietto textile Factory which now has over 3000 residents.

Marder

Young cool people doing young cool things. A great afternoon full of music and art at Centro Cultural San Martin. Here is the link to the Juanele article.

Caio Dabusti

Another assignment for the Argy Indy, Beatles-loving Argentine musician Caio Dabusti.

The Art of Looking

This was another portfolio on Juanele, something i’ve been working on for a while. A lot of the art shows I go to i’m more interested in the people than I am the art, and this project reflects that. It’s all about that one still moment, lost in the gaze…

arteBA

So arteBA is the largest art show/fair in South America, and man was it big. Huge and half full of brilliant, young, interesting art. This is my ‘best of’ which was featured as a portfolio over on Juanele.
